In 2004, annual emissions
testing is required for 1980-2001
year models. (2002 and newer models
are exempt from testing in 2004) The
test is valid for one year from date
of the test and is good for one
renewal only.
-
Senior Citizens may receive an
emission waiver if they are at least
age 65, the vehicle is at least
10-years old and the mileage driven
is less than 5,000 miles per year.
The inspection waiver, because of
the mileage restriction, must be
applied for every year. Remember,
this applies to mailed-in tag
applications as well as those
applied for in person.
