Newcomer information is available at the Coweta County Welcome Center. The Center is located at 100 Walt Sanders Memorial Drive (Whitlock Recreation Complex on E. Hwy. 34) in Newnan. It's open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. A public private partnership called 21st Century Coweta was formed in 1995 to market Coweta County for new business and industry development.

The community leaders of 21st Century Coweta have been forewarned of the growth problems experienced by other Atlanta area counties coping with population explosions. To meet these challenges, the group has specific goals for recruiting businesses that will expand the tax base and assure quality growth. Newnan Utilities plays a strong role in the economy of the area. The Company has developed a space-age project that can place a two-way telecommunication and a computer system into every area home.
